Plus, you need to track purchase events properly and keep that data flowing for about 28 days. If your site doesn’t have enough traffic, it might take longer to generate predictions.

Note: If your site does not meet the minimum threshold, GA4 won’t generate predictive audiences. However, you can still use other audience-building methods, such as behavioral segmentation. Additionally, if your traffic drops below that threshold Predictive Audiences might stop being available.

Step 2: Create Your Predictive Audience

Getting started is easy! Head over to GA4 → Admin → Audiences → New Audience. You can pick from GA4’s pre-built predictive audience templates or create your own based on specific conditions like:

  • Likely 7-day purchasers (people most likely to buy soon)

  • Predicted 28-day top spenders (users who are expected to spend big)

  • Likely 7-day churners (users who might stop engaging soon)

Once you choose your settings, hit save, and your audience will automatically update based on real-time behavior.

Now that you’ve built your predictive audience, it’s time to put it to work! You can sync it with Google Ads for remarketing, use it in Shopping and Display Ads, and add it to the Performance Max campaign’s Audience Signals.
